Jenny Craig

So right now I am on Jenny Craig. I have been on it for about 7 months now and have lost 16lbs and a total of 17 inches total. My results are a slight dissapointment when I compaire how long I have been on it and how much I should have lost. But I don’t follow the program exactly the way I should. When I did follow it 100%, I lost close to 3lbs a week. But I’m not perfect, and chances are most of you aren’t either.

Lets talk about the food first.Breakfast? Not too many options for the salt lovers like me. I cringe the thought of eating a muffin for breakfast. Muffin? I want the sausage! The muffins and pancakes and such are not that bad, don’t get me wrong. But when it comes to sweet breakfast food, I pass.

I added tomato and spinach to my breakfast sandwich.

What I eat? The breakfast sandwhich, also known as the McJenny sandwhich is really good. Although I still miss my sausage Jimmy Dean sandwiches. But what we really need to talk about is the deserts…I LOVE THE CHEESECAKE. I want to buy it even when I’m off the diet. It is softer than regular cheesecake but still really good. Sometimes I put chocolate syrup and raspberries on it but that’s when I want to cheat the program. Probably one of the reasons I haven’t lost all that much.

Why I like Jenny though is the personalization. I am young. I enjoy going out and going to parties. My idea about a diet is about changing your life, not your lifestyle. Whats the difference? The difference is that I won’t give up going out with my friends and enjoying myself. That doesn’t mean I’m not changing. I now have a workout schedule and when I go out to eat, I choose different items or I watch my portions more. I don’t need to snack on the chips and salsa if I am about to eat dinner. Technically on Jenny, you’re suppose to reach half way to your goal weight before you eat ‘normal food.’ My consultant recognizes that I won’t follow that and she helps me plan how to keep my lifestyle while still loosing weight.
